Buffalo’s cross-border identity has been a persistent theme in how the organization talks about its fanbase. The Sept. 17 matchup against Detroit adds another layer of regional flavor. The Lions, like the Bills, draw from a fanbase that spans an international border, with southwestern Ontario falling within Detroit’s broader sports footprint as well.
