A scathing Daily Wire column published Friday takes aim at Twitch streamer Hasan Piker over comments he made during a recent appearance on The Axios Show with journalist Alex Thompson, accusing him of holding a “corrupt worldview” that contradicts Western values.
The piece, written by Ben Bartee, follows a similar Daily Wire takedown published a day earlier, which challenged Piker’s claim that the United States is “pound for pound” worse than al-Qaeda. In the new column, the author targets several of Piker’s other statements from the interview, including his assertions about civilian deaths in Gaza, the value of U.S. aid to Israel, and the prospect of a nuclear-armed Iran.

Dispute Over Civilian Casualties and Aid
According to the Daily Wire, Piker argued that Israel is killing Muslims and Christians alike with American tax dollars. The column pushes back on that framing by pointing to what it describes as persecution of Christians in Nigeria, Pakistan, and Sudan at the hands of Islamist extremists — violence the author says Piker does not address.
The column also disputes Piker’s characterization of U.S. aid to Israel, noting that Washington provides roughly $3.8 billion annually to the country for the purchase of American weapons. It contrasts that figure with more than $7 billion in U.S. contributions over recent decades to UNRWA and related humanitarian aid for Palestinians, arguing the latter has yielded hostility rather than goodwill.

On the question of civilian deaths, the Daily Wire draws a distinction between what it calls unintentional deaths in a war against embedded terrorists and intentional terrorism, calling the conflation of the two “morally moronic and misleading.”
Criticism of Piker’s Foreign Policy Views
The column goes on to accuse Piker of inconsistency on several foreign policy issues. It says he has described Israel’s strikes in Gaza as worse than Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, while acknowledging China’s treatment of Uyghur Muslims as a cultural genocide — yet still visiting China and posting about his travels there.

The author also challenges claims about Israel’s treatment of Arabs, asserting that more than 2.1 million Arabs live in Israel with full civil rights and that there are no Jews in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Gaza.
On Iran, the column expresses alarm at Piker’s suggestion that the Middle East would be more stable if the Islamic Republic possessed a nuclear weapon, citing the regime’s “Death to America” slogan and its history of domestic repression.
Domestic Politics and 2028 Speculation
The column touches on Piker’s background and domestic political activity, noting his Turkish heritage and his support for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) ahead of a potential 2028 run. It also references comments Piker has made about Hezbollah and Hamas, and criticizes him for calling America the greatest evil while living in Los Angeles.
Daily Wire columnist Ben Bartee concludes by describing Piker as “dangerous” and “dishonest,” arguing his views are the “antithesis of the American experiment” — and warning that if voters embrace the political future he advocates alongside Ocasio-Cortez, the result would be unrecognizable.
