Jennifer Eckhart, a former associate producer at Fox Business who later launched her own podcast, was found dead in her South Florida home over the weekend, according to a Martin County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson. She was 35.
Eckhart was discovered on Sept. 19 at her home in Martin County, sheriff’s spokesperson Christine Christofek said on Sept. 21. Christofek said Eckhart appears to have died by suicide. The Miami Herald also reported that Eckhart died by suicide, and TMZ separately confirmed the death.
According to TMZ, Eckhart’s home was surrounded by police and first responders on Saturday morning.
