Rams' Alaric Jackson Punches Bills' Bradley Chubb in Face After Monday Night Football Loss

A hard-fought Monday Night Football game ended with a punch to the face, as Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson struck Buffalo Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb well after the final whistle, according to Breitbart.

The confrontation unfolded after most players had already left the field. Jackson walked over to Chubb, the two exchanged words, and Jackson suddenly threw a punch that landed on Chubb’s face, the outlet reported.

Chubb Shrugs Off the Blow

Chubb, speaking to the California Post afterward, described the skirmish as a product of emotion rather than any lingering grievance, and said he chose not to retaliate.

“It’s just emotions, you know what I mean? Emotional game. It was a close game,” Chubb said. “And, you know, they always catch the second guy. So, I let him swing. And then my teammates held me back, and I just chilled.”

The veteran linebacker added that things cooled quickly once teammates intervened.

“Like I said, it was (an) emotional game. Tempers got flared. But it is what it is. We flushed it and we onto next week,” he said. He also declined to name who threw the punch outright, noting, “Somebody swung, but hey, that’s not on me to tell who. There’s cameras out there. I just know, you know what I’m saying, I’m just ready for next week.”

Jackson has not commented on the incident, according to the report. The punch will likely result in a fine for the Rams lineman.

Bills Win in Overtime

The altercation capped a game that had already gone down to the wire. Buffalo won in overtime on a Tyler Bass field goal with 1:55 remaining, per the report.

The result pushed the Bills to 4-1 on the season and dropped the Rams to a disappointing 2-3, leaving Los Angeles with a losing record and a postgame incident that could draw league discipline.

The NFL has historically fined players for punches thrown after the whistle, and the incident’s timing — long after the game had officially ended — could factor into how the league handles it. Whether Jackson faces anything beyond a financial penalty would depend on the league’s review of the footage.

For Chubb and the Bills, the focus has already shifted. Buffalo sits near the top of the standings through five games, and Chubb made clear he is looking forward rather than back.

“We flushed it and we onto next week,” he said.
