Luna claims DSA is ‘absolutely funded and tied’ to Chinese Communist Party

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna alleges the Democratic Socialists of America has direct financial and organizational ties to the Chinese Communist Party, citing an ongoing DOJ investigation into a major donor.

Luna claims DSA is 'absolutely funded and tied' to Chinese Communist Party

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) made a stark accusation during a Tuesday appearance on Fox News’s Hannity, claiming the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is “absolutely funded and tied to the Chinese Communist Party.” The Florida Republican’s comments came as she discussed the group’s growing influence in Democratic primaries and its policy platform, which she described as a threat to American institutions.

Luna pointed to Neville Roy Singham, a wealthy tech entrepreneur and DSA mega-donor, who she said is currently under investigation by the Department of Justice. According to Luna, Singham’s contributions are part of a broader effort to push Marxist ideology and collaborate with other leftist organizations, such as the Party of Socialism and Liberation, to target moderate Democrats and flip congressional seats.

‘A lot more nefarious than people realize’

During the interview, host Sean Hannity listed a series of DSA-aligned policy positions — including eliminating the Senate, packing the judiciary, providing amnesty for undocumented immigrants, abolishing ICE, ending deportations, defunding the Department of War, establishing a wealth tax, passing the Green New Deal, abolishing police and prisons, and having corporations owned by the government. He also noted a recent comment from a candidate who said he does not like the Constitution.

Luna responded by saying the situation is “a lot more nefarious than I think a lot of people realize.” She reiterated her claim about the DSA’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party and highlighted the group’s recent electoral success in New York, where a candidate who has made both anti-white and anti-Semitic comments is now the likely Democratic nominee for the 120th Congress.

“Ultimately, the DSA platform is truly racist,” Luna said. She argued that it is the responsibility of vocal members of Congress to call out the group’s rhetoric and agenda.

Luna’s midterm optimism

Luna suggested she is cautiously optimistic about the upcoming midterm elections, noting that the public appears to be “catching on to what the DSA is all about.” She pointed to her own recent victory in Florida, where voters rejected socialism, as evidence that the group’s influence may be waning.

Luna’s remarks were accompanied by a tweet from her official account celebrating the “free state of Florida” rejecting socialism, with a message to “all the radical socialists who are trying to infiltrate Congress.”

The Gateway Pundit reported on Luna’s interview, framing her comments as a warning about the DSA’s alleged ties to foreign interests. The DSA has not yet publicly responded to Luna’s accusations.

This is not the first time Luna has been vocal about the DSA. She has previously criticized the group’s influence within the Democratic Party and has called for greater scrutiny of its funding sources. However, her latest claim of a direct financial and organizational link to the Chinese Communist Party is among her most specific allegations to date.

The Department of Justice has not confirmed any investigation into Singham, and no charges have been filed. The Gateway Pundit’s report did not include independent verification of Luna’s claims.
