Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow said Democrats are already deploying anxiety about artificial intelligence as a midterm election message, roughly 50 days out from the vote, while arguing that Republicans have been too dismissive of the issue.
Speaking on his radio program, “The Alex Marlow Show,” Marlow described an emerging Democratic strategy built around “A.I. doom and gloom” and framed it as a warning for Republicans who he said are not taking the issue seriously enough, according to Breitbart’s own writeup of the remarks.
“We’re 50-odd days out from the midterms and what they’re going to be able to do. They’re already doing it,” Marlow said. He followed by faulting his own party’s posture: “Republicans are not responsible in terms of AI governance. The Trump is too dismissive of this. Mike Johnson’s too dismissive of this.”
The comments, first reported by Breitbart, situate AI policy as an early fault line in the closing stretch of the campaign season, with Marlow suggesting Democrats intend to make the technology’s risks a central part of their pitch to voters.
