The Daily Wire has released a new trailer for its upcoming action thriller “Run Hide Fight: Infidels,” and the stakes couldn’t be higher — or more politically charged. The sequel to the 2020 hit “Run Hide Fight” trades a school shooting for a terrorist takeover of a college campus, with Jonathan Majors starring as a retired Delta Force soldier who isn’t about to let jihadists have the last word.
The trailer wastes no time setting the scene: blue-haired protesters scream about civil rights while confused students ask what the campus protest is even about. Administrators debate free speech. Then the action kicks in — radical Islamic terrorists storm the campus, taking hostages and co-opting a hapless group of protesters to further their plot. Their goal? Stop Majors’ character, Captain Clay Saunders, from spreading his warning about the rise of Islam in America.
Saunders is on campus to promote his new book when the attack unfolds. The terrorists make their intentions clear: “There is no God but Allah,” one declares as henchmen press boots into the backs of hostages. But Saunders isn’t the surrendering type. “What do you say we turn those S.O.B.s into a fine red mist?” he asks, locking and loading.
A Throwback to ’90s Action
Ben Shapiro, Daily Wire editor emeritus, is framing “Infidels” as a deliberate throwback to an era when action movies weren’t afraid to pick a side. He described it as “a 1990s-style action blockbuster — think ‘Toy Soldiers’ meets ‘Red Dawn.'”
“It’s exciting. It’s intense. It’s funny. It’s the biggest movie we’ve ever done,” Shapiro said. “The radical jihadists lose, the red-blooded Americans win, and nobody apologizes for any of it. More importantly, it also says the thing: radical Islam is a threat to America, and we are all morons if we let it take over our country.”
Producer Dallas Sonnier echoed that sentiment, citing the classics as inspiration. “We all worship at the altar of [director] John Milius and ‘Red Dawn,’ and Eastwood, and all the other wonderful action stars of the ’80s — Stallone and Schwarzenegger,” Sonnier told Page Six. “Nobody’s making these types of movies anymore.”
The trailer does offer moments of levity amid the chaos. In one scene, a security guard tells a student, “You need a course in safe weapons handling,” right after the student fires wildly into the ceiling.
Timely Subject Matter
The subject matter is deliberately provocative. The film lands in a moment when debates over free speech, campus activism, and national security are at the forefront of the culture wars. Shapiro isn’t shy about the political undertones, firing back at critics: “If the Left is this pissed off at the trailer, just wait until they see the film.”
For Majors, “Infidels” represents a high-profile comeback. The actor, who previously starred in “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” takes on a role that casts him as a resolute American patriot — a stark contrast to the campus chaos around him.
