A man who ran onto the field at Yankee Stadium waving a Palestinian flag during a game marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks has been identified as a 38-year-old Long Island resident who describes himself as a “revisionist Marxist” — and who insisted afterward that he loves the United States and considers himself “an ally to the Jewish cause.”
Kelly Marcucci faces misdemeanor charges of interfering with a professional sporting event and trespassing, the New York Police Department said, according to the New York Post.
According to that reporting, Marcucci climbed out of the stands and sprinted onto the field during the seventh inning of Friday night’s Yankees-Mets game. The breach unfolded at roughly 9:11 p.m. — the time chosen for its symbolic weight — before security guards brought him down in center field.

Video from the scene showed fans erupting into chants of “USA!” as officers and stadium security wrestled Marcucci to the ground and led him away. The game was one of several events around the city observing the anniversary of the 2001 attacks.

He also shared a video recorded inside the stadium showing himself in a personalized “K. Marcucci” Yankees jersey. Across the chest, the jersey read “No Kings,” a slogan affiliated with anti-Trump demonstrators.
Marcucci’s online footprint is a sprawling mix of political commentary and conspiracy content. His social media accounts describe him as a journalist and a “spiritual tactician” and note that he graduated from Stony Brook University. His Instagram page includes conspiracy theories, material about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and videos featuring political commentator Candace Owens, the Post reported.

Ahead of New York City’s 2025 mayoral election, Marcucci posted what he framed as a spiritual reading of Andrew Cuomo and Zohran Mamdani.
“It’s not just about left vs. right. It’s not just about two candidates. It’s about what kind of energy is being installed over New York City,” he wrote in the Instagram post, according to the New York Post.
His Instagram account also links to an inactive OnlyFans profile that he said he set up “as a joke.” A description on the profile states his politics outright: “Politically, I identify as a revisionist-Marxist, and the core values of this expression are very important to me,” it reads.
In comments to the New York Post after his arrest, Marcucci struck a different note than his pre-game posts. He said he loves the United States and described himself as “an ally to the Jewish cause.”

The episode quickly drew condemnation across social media, with critics accusing Marcucci of showing contempt for the victims of the September 11 attacks by staging the protest at an anniversary game and timing it to the minute of the strikes.
