Video footage shows Rechsteiner executing a German suplex-like move to take down Cowboys player Jalen Thompson, sending the clash firmly into the realm of professional wrestling.

The practice was repeatedly interrupted by skirmishes. According to reports, Cowboys linebacker Donovan Ezeiruaku was ejected from the session after throwing a punch. Cowboys cornerback Caelen Carson was also seen throwing punches, but officials did not remove him from the field.

After the practice, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer voiced his frustration over the chaotic proceedings.
âNobody wants this. We want to get the work in. I thought it settled down and it was very chippy early on, but it was unfortunate,â Schottenheimer said. âOur football team needs this work, and overall, I was disappointed in the work today because I didnât think we got enough good work.â
Despite his disappointment, the coach made it clear that he wants his team to maintain a competitive edge, vowing that the Cowboys will not be pushed around.
âBut at the same time, I donât think [the Saints] were the only ones stirring up the shit,â Schottenheimer said. âI think we mightâve been stirring it up as well. It was a sloppy practice all in all, and itâs got to be better.â
