The conservative media, led by The Daily Wire, is crying foul, pointing out the irony: the Left claims to support women, but only when they fit a progressive mold. ‘Believe all women. Support fellow females. Be a girl’s girl. Unless she’s pretty, successful, and votes red — then, evidently, the sisterhood becomes a firing squad,’ the outlet writes.
Who is Natalie Harp?
Harp, a California native from a conservative Christian family, studied business and real estate. She went public with her Stage 2 bone cancer diagnosis in 2019 and credits Trump’s 2018 Right to Try Act for enabling the off-label immunotherapy that saved her life. Her father died by suicide in 2020, and her brother, an anti-American activist who goes by ‘Spirit.wagon’ on Instagram, is estranged from her. Her mother has been out of touch for years.
Despite these challenges, Harp built a successful career in political media, catching Trump’s attention after crediting him with saving her life. She joined his campaign and inner circle, not through nefarious means, but through hard work and devotion. ‘She’s incredibly hard-working, devoted, and loyal to a fault, sometimes forgetting to eat and sleep,’ the article notes.
The Left, however, has cast her as unhinged, citing a speech where she called Trump her ‘guardian and protector’ and compared him to George Bailey from ‘It’s a Wonderful Life.’ Daily Wire argues this is not evidence of instability but of a woman finding stability and purpose after surviving cancer and personal tragedy. ‘An 80-year-old man she may well see as a father figure… That’s not a scandal.
